Really.<br />This time I mean it. Im really truly done with the geat monopoly known as eBay. I've been selling on eBay for close to thirteen years. I've seen them grow in good ways and bad. I've felt their wrath when I stepped over the(ir) line (see perceived copyright infringement that really wasn't) and when they thought I was being a good girl, I came back. Time and time again. A little hand slap is good for all of us now and then, right? It makes us take a fresh look at what were doing and perhaps head in a different direction. It helps us think out of the box, the carton, the cubicle.<br /><br />This time though, its different. I have been thinking out of the box. I have been shipping within 24 hours. I have been lowering my prices and answering buyers questions faster than I answer my kids questions. I have posted feedback, taken better pictures, watched my verbage in descriptions and more. <br /><br />And then the email arrived. You have been indefinitely suspended (indefinitely? even the prison system tells us how much time we gotta do!) Oh and while were at it, here`s the list of 85 listings we just closed on you. Well give you back your fees (gee thanks, but can you give me back the countless hours of time spent photographing, writing ads and listing those babies? Uh yeah, thats what I thought.) <br /><br />Wwwhhhyyy? Wwwhhhyy cant you just leave me alone? (think Britney here in case you didn`t get the reference). I'm just a simple girl trying to make a buck, raise a family and keep creative in the process? My seller standards aren't up to snuff. They look pretty good to me. Oh wait, they're basing my current ability to sell on a new system that was just implemented this year (though you gave us warning...Ill give you that), yet looking at my selling stats from a year ago? Oh that makes sense in a Dr. Phil kinda way. (best predictor of future behavior is past behavior right?) <br /><br />Enough already. The only reason I've stayed this long is because you were comfortable. You were that relationship that was too bad to stay, too safe to leave. But then you did it. Your final betrayal. I came home and my things were on the lawn. Not even a note...that's it. I get it. It's over. Will i miss you? Perhaps a smidge when im lonely in the middle of the night. But i will be strong. There are new horizons to conquer. New sites to meet. I loved you, but now we're through. I'll get over you in time. You'll just be part of my history, my past. Occasionally I'll bring out the old pictures of auctions gone by...the Manolos that sold for $515 to that cute girl in texas... morning will come and I'll start again. Cleaning, stitching, polishing, taking pictures and uploading. I'm seeing someone new. His name is Etsy. He's an artist. And he doesn't judge me. This could be the one I've been looking for. <br /><br />And he's really cute with lots of cool friends.
